Tommy “Lightning” Sparks has officially hit bottom, after losing the Middleweight Championship and being kicked out of the MMA he has nothing left. Then to really make matters worse a fire leaves him without the last few items that mean the most to him. Tommy moves in with his best friend while trying to put the pieces of his life back together. Julie Rogers has been best friends with Tommy since she was 10 years old. Always standing beside him and there for him whenever he needs her. She is more than happy to take him in while he looks for a new place, the only problem is she didn't realize how hard it would be to live with someone who doesn't know you are in love with them. After she begins spending time with another fighter, Tommy starts to see her for more than just his best friend. Unfortunately, his reputation speaks for itself and Julie knows anything between them will just lead to heartbreak.

I was a huge fan of book 1 in this series and couldn't wait for this book. Fighting Love did not disappoint. A fantastic story about lifelong friendships, love and family. Not to mention lots of sexy MMA fighters. I love Abby Niles style of writing and the characters she creates. This is definitely a must read! I highly recommend this series.

I recommend this book, it’s hot, has a good story and the heroine is smart. One thing I really like about this book, the author created a realistic break-up and not the same plot we read most of the time; “misunderstandings where the hero or heroine think the other is being unfaithful.” Abby Niles did an excellent job of making this story interesting with a HEA and not a cliffhanger….Hooray
I usually prefer books where the H and h just met--not previous friends--however, I found this one very entertaining. It was fun to follow the growth of their relationship--how hey both fought it for different reasons, and how each of them realized just how deep their love actually was. The backstory with the MMA was entertaining, and I feel really added to the story as a whole. Intimate scenes were super spicy, and their was actually an ok grovel. I would recommend
Tommy and Julie are those friends that you know will end up together. They have known each other for a long time, since they were kids, and are best friends. Julie has been in love with Tommy since she was a young girl and Tommy has always seen Julie as Julie. Never anything more. But sometimes you can't see what in front of you.

I won't ruined the book or mention what happens but let's just say eyes are opened and hearts stolen. I would highly recommend this book to everyone!
I guess my only issue with this book is that I would have like to have had more to read about them when they were together and good. Yes you can take it to mean that this was a good story. Tommy and Julie have been best friends since they were 10. Julie has been In love with Tommy the whole time. When Tommy realizes what she means to him, it is a bit of a comedy of errors with mixed signals and confusion. It's about love and redemption. It's about friends and lovers. It was a great read.
It is a beautiful story of two best friends who finally fall in love. Tommy and Julie have been best friends their whole life and crossing that line from friend to lovers is very difficult one. Some of readers will find Tommy boring with all his dilemma but if you ever been in similar situation you know how difficult it is to cross that line, to face simple fact that you could lose that one person who you knew your whole life and means world to you. Abby Niles covered that fear pretty good. I've enjoyed this book so much, laugh all throe the night. Simply couldn't put it down.
I have been anxiously awaiting this book and it IS good, but it was missing something. We spent too much time in Julie and Tommy's heads listening to their doubts and it was slow reading. In fact, I was far more interested in Brody and Mac then I was in Tommy and Julie which was a bit disappointing. I even jumped to the end of the book at one point. I thought Dante and Caitlin were much better developed and wish there had been more diversity in Julie and Tommy's relationship. I will definitely be looking for more from this author but not as anxiously.

Editing and formatting the fonts change throughout the book which is irritating. There are minimal grammatical errors but the book could have used another edit before being published.
Really enjoyed this best friends to lovers book! It was a bit cheesy but I love these two. Tommy is the one that is suffering from insecurity which is a nice reprieve from the normal insecure leading woman roles. I LOVE the monologues and found them hilarious while often heartfelt. I related to their hesitance to take that step with someone you have had in your life for so long, with the fear of losing them and the comfort that they offer. I loved the Green Knight and Lady J bits, they made Tommy so loveable. I loved Tommy’s bumbling and fumbling along the way to figuring out how to embrace loving Julie as a woman not just a friend. Abby Niles gives me feel good HEA’s that I can’t get enough of.
