Medical Services in the First World War Shire Library Susan Cohen Books Reviews

This is yet another small Shire volume, devoted in this instance to British medical services in World War I. Though detailing organization, the mobilization process, equipment, methods of treatment and more, at under 70 pages this book is hardly exhaustive. As an overview and introduction, however, I found it excellent. Coverage extends to transport of the wounded and hospitals in Britain as well as on the Continent. Short and succinct, it is still informative and enlightening.
